Kerry Poe, a sales consultant and owner at North Sails Oregon is a graduate of Portland State University with a Degree in Marketing. He has been with North Sails since 1993.He is a four-time member of the US Sailing Team, and narrowly missed representing the United States in the 470 Class at the 1996 Olympics in Savannah. Kerry won the 1991 U.S. Pan-Am Games qualifier and the Pre-Olympics Trials. He represented the U.S. at the 1991 Pre-Olympic Games in Barcelona and won the 1989 470 Class North American Championship. Kerry has participated in eight World Championships in Laser II, 470, 505 and Melges 24.Kerry has been able to carry much of his knowledge of sail trim and sail shape, learned from hundreds of hours of two-boat testing in the 470, into big boat classes. He is an accomplished big boat sailor, proven by race results in the Northwest. He was a winner of the Leukemia Cup, Mark Mayer Regatta, Protection Island Race, Smith Island Race, Whidby Island Race Week and Swiftsure.

Since 2004, Anika has been busy repairing sails and making custom canvas. She is our repair consultant, and seamstress. If you ripped your spinnaker, decided to switch your sails to roller furling or need a new UV Cover, Anika is here to help! She is very hands-on and enjoys the aspect of using our 2D cad program to create and sew new canvas as well ranging from boom covers to custom dodgers.
Anika obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Portland State University in 2006. As canvas Production Manager, and Marketing Director, she keeps up our web site, as well as oversees the sail and canvas work. Always up for a design challenge, she will make sure you are satisfied with a product right from the begining, and for years to come.
Her favorite sailing venues include the BVIs, caribbean islands, Hawaii, Admiralty Inlet and Desolation Sound. In 2007, she cruised through the Grenadines on a Beneteau 42, and has explored other areas such as the BVIs, Antigua and Hawaiian islands. She loves snorkeling reefs and trying local cuisines. Anika competed on PSU Sailing Team and is proud to have been named the All Northwest Crew of the year in 2003 and 2004, and the All Northwest Woman Skipper of the year in 2005. Anika is a member of Willamette Sailing Club, and you'll be sure to see her out laser sailing, crewing or helming J-24s and sailing on other local boats!

As our office administrator, you'll likely be greeted by Kelly and find her very helpfull when dropping off your sails or canvas.
She has lived in Oregon since age four and loves it. We get all the seasons with wonderful color. Kelly enjoys being able to work in the sailing community and learning many new things. She received her two year teaching diploma, and taught pre-school for two years.
Kelly also loves to travel. Her most memorable trip is when she spent three months in New Zealand as a foreign exchange student. "I got to travel and see the beautiful country and meet many amazing people. My hope in the future is to travel again to New Zealand and then explore Europe. I have also seen places like the beautiful black sand beaches, and crystal blue waters of Hawaii, as well as the volcanoes of Guatemala. My other hobbies include the outdoors, hiking, rock climbing, or simply just having a nice picnic."
